Jar App Support – Contact, Common Issues & Troubleshooting Guide

Your money got transferred, your gold didn’t reflect, or your UPI just keeps failing, and you want answers now, not the runaround. This guide contains all major Jar app problems with step-wise solutions, the only genuine ways to contact Jar customer care, and how to save yourself from scammers using fake support numbers.

How to Reach Jar Customer Support

Jar offers three official support channels. Use only these; anything else is a scam risk.

Email Support

Send your queries to voc@changejar.in

WhatsApp Support

You can message the Jar support team on WhatsApp (messages only, no calls) at [wa.me/916366693874](http://wa.me/916366693874). Response times here are typically faster for straightforward questions. Don't expect this channel for deeply technical account issues; those get routed to the backend team anyway.

In-App Support Chat

Open the Jar app, go to your profile section, and look for the Help or Support option. The in-app chat connects you directly to the support team and is often the fastest route for issues tied to your account, since the team can already see your transaction history on their end.

What JAR support can help with:

  •  Starting, pausing, or stopping daily savings (AutoSave)
  •  Withdrawing or selling digital gold
  •  Payment and UPI issues
  •  KYC verification problems
  •  Referral and reward queries
  •  Account-related questions

Typical Response and Resolution Time

Knowing what to expect saves a lot of frustration.

Issue TypeExpected Response TimeResolution Time
General query (chat/WhatsApp)A few hoursSame day
Payment failure/deduction issue24–48 hours3–7 business days
KYC rejection24–48 hours2–5 business days
Refund to bank accountAfter ticket raised5–10 business days
Account closure request2–3 business daysUp to 7 business days
Gold balance discrepancy24–48 hours3–5 business days

These are estimates based on typical fintech resolution timelines. Actual times can vary based on volume and issue complexity. If your ticket has been open longer than the above windows without resolution, follow up through the same channel and reference your original complaint number.

Issue: Money Deducted After Uninstalling the App

This is one of the most common and confusing problems Jar users face.

What Causes This Jar’s AutoSave feature is enabled by a UPI AutoPay mandate, a standing instruction you set up with your bank when you first activated daily savings. Jar’s AutoSave is powered by a UPI AutoPay mandate, which is a standing instruction you set with your bank when you first activated daily savings. That mandate doesn’t go away when you uninstall the jar app. Your bank is still working on the deduction daily because the instruction is at the UPI level and not in the app.

How to stop Autosave

You have two choices:

Option 1: Reinstall and disable inside the app. Go to Auto Open Jar Save settings and pause or stop daily save. This is the cleanest way.

Option 2: Cancel UPI mandate through your bank’s app Go to Manage Autopay or Recurring Payments in your bank’s UPI app (like Google Pay, PhonePe or your bank’s own app) and cancel the Jar mandate. The mandate will typically be labeled under UPI AutoPay or Recurring Debit.

How to Get a Refund for Post-Uninstall Deductions

Email voc@changejar for Jar support. Include your registered mobile number, details of the unwanted deductions, and a request for a refund. The team will look through the transactions and issue a refund to your linked bank account.

Issue: Payment Failed But Money Deducted

This happens when a payment fails midway; the debit hits your account, but Jar's system doesn't confirm the transaction. Your gold balance stays the same, but your money is gone (temporarily).

What usually happens next: In most cases, the amount will be automatically reversed back to your bank account within 3-7 business days,s and you won’t have to do anything. This is a normal UPI reconciliation process

What to do if it doesn't reverse automatically:

1. Wait at least 48 hours from the time of the failed transaction.

2. Check your bank statement to confirm the debit is still showing.

3. Open the Jar app and check your transaction history for the failed payment entry.

4. Email or chat with Jar support with the transaction date, amount, and the transaction reference number (UTR number) from your bank.

The UTR number is critical; it's what the support team uses to trace the payment on the banking network. You'll find it in your bank's SMS alert or transaction history.

Issue: KYC Rejected – What to Do Next

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is mandatory for withdrawing gold or exceeding certain transaction thresholds on the Jar app. If yours got rejected, it's almost always fixable.

Common Reasons for KYC Rejection

  • Blurry or poorly lit document photos
  • Mismatch of PAN Card Name with Aadhaar
  • Document image cropped or incomplete
  • Selfie didn't clearly match the ID photo
  • The document is already linked to another account

What to Do

First, check the reason for rejection. Jar usually sends a notification or in-app message explaining why. Then:

Reupload with better images. Natural light, document lying flat on a surface, all four corners visible, no glare.

Name mismatch: If your name differs slightly across documents (e.g., initials vs full name), contact support. They can escalate to manual review.

Selfie issues: Make sure your face is fully visible, no glasses if possible, and the lighting is even.

Document already linked: This requires direct support intervention. Email voc@changejar.in with your concern.

After resubmission, KYC review typically takes 2–5 business days. If it gets rejected a second time for the same reason, escalate via email with a detailed explanation.

Issue: Gold Balance Not Updating

You made a payment; it went through successfully, but your gold balance in the app hasn't moved. This is usually a display or sync issue, not a lost gold situation.

Quick fixes to try first:

  •  Force close the app and reopen it
  •  Check your internet connection and refresh
  •  Log out and log back in

If the balance still hasn't updated after an hour and you can confirm the payment succeeded (check your bank statement), contact Jar support with the transaction details. The backend team can manually sync your account. Gold purchases are timestamped to the rate at the moment of payment, so your price won't change even if there's a display delay.

Issue: UPI Linked But Savings Not Deducting

You have enabled AutoSave, your UPI is active, but there are no daily deductions.

Possible Causes and Fixes

Mandate not set up properly: During AutoSave activation, you need to approve a UPI AutoPay mandate in your bank's UPI app. If you dismissed or declined that step, no mandate exists. Reinstall or reset AutoSave in the app to trigger the mandate setup again. If you dismissed or declined that step, no mandate exists. Reinstall or reset AutoSave in the app to trigger the mandate setup again.

Insufficient balance at the time of deduction: At a specified time of the day, Jar attempts to deduct. If you have a low account balance at that time, the deduction simply does not take place. Be sure to leave a little space.

Bank Temporarily Blocked AutoPay: Banks periodically require you to re-authorize UPI mandates. Go to the AutoPay section of your UPI app and see if the Jar mandate is active or expired.

UPI ID not working: If you have changed the bank or phone number, your old UPI ID may not work. Update the linked UPI in the JAR app settings.

How to File a Formal Complaint

If you haven’t been able to resolve your issue via normal support channels, here’s how to properly escalate your issue.

Step 1: Please email our support team at voc@changejar.in along with all the details - your mobile number, description of the issue, dates, transaction IDs, and any reference to previous conversations. 1. Launch the app and tap “Add a new account.”

Step 2: If you do not receive a resolution within 10 business days, you may escalate to the Nodal Officer. Financial apps regulated or operating in India need to have escalation mechanisms. Ask the support team explicitly for the escalation contact.

Step 3: For unresolved payment disputes, you can also raise a complaint through your bank's grievance channel, or file a complaint on the RBI's Complaint Management System (cms.rbi.org.in) if the issue involves a banking transaction.

When raising any complaint, always include:

  • Your registered mobile number
  • The exact dates and amounts of affected transactions
  • A clear one-line summary of what went wrong
  • What resolution you're asking for

How to Close / Delete Your Jar Account

Closing your Jar account is possible, but there are a few things to sort out before the process can be completed.

Before You Request Closure

Withdraw all your gold. You cannot close an account with a positive gold balance. Sell your digital gold and withdraw the funds to your bank account first.

No pending transactions. Active AutoSave deductions or pending refunds must be paid before closing.

Cancel UPI AutoPay mandate. Make payment through your bank’s UPI app, so no future deductions are made.

How to Request Account Deletion

Currently, account closure/deletion requires contacting Jar's support team directly:

1. Email voc@changejar.in from your registered email address (or include your registered mobile number clearly).

2. Ask them to close your Jar account permanently.

3. The team will verify who you are and then walk you through the remaining steps.

Once verified, account deletion will take up to 7 business days to process. You will get a confirmation when it is done. Please take note that,t as per the compliance requirements of RBI & SEBI, data of deleted accounts may be retained for a legally mandated period.

Be Aware of Fake Jar Customer Care Numbers. This deserves its own spotlight because it's causing real financial harm to users.

Scammers are purchasing Google Ads and creating fake websites that appear when you search for “Jar customer care number” or “Jar helpline.” They pretend to be Jar support agents, reach out to you on unofficial numbers, gain your trust, and then ask for your OTP by saying they are "verifying your account".

Once you share the OTP, they log into your Jar account and can initiate withdrawals.

This is what the real Jar team will never do: Request your OTP from any channel Please install a remote access app (e.g. AnyDesk or TeamViewer) Call You From an Unverified or Personal Cell Phone The only legitimate contacts for Jar support are: Email: voc@changejar.in; WhatsApp ( messages only ) : wa.me/916366693874. In-app support chat If anyone calls stating they are from Jar and asks for your OTP, hang up immediately and report the number.

FAQs

What is the official Jar customer care number?

Jar does not have a publicly listed phone support number. All official support happens through email at voc@changejar.in, WhatsApp messages at wa.me/916366693874, or the in-app chat. Any phone number you find on Google claiming to be Jar customer care is almost certainly a scam.

My money was deducted, but gold wasn't added. Will I get it back?

Yes. If the payment went through on your bank's end but didn't reflect in your Jar gold balance, you'll either get the gold credited once the system syncs (usually within a few hours) or the amount will be refunded to your bank account within 3–7 business days. Contact support with your UTR number if neither happens after 48 hours.

How long does Jar take to process a withdrawal?

When you initiate a sell/withdrawal from inside the app, funds usually land in your linked bank account in 3–5 business days. There can be delays if you have recently changed your bank details or if it is a busy time.

Can I reopen a closed Jar account?

Once an account is permanently deleted, it generally cannot be restored. If you only want to pause savings, use the AutoSave pause feature instead of requesting full account deletion.

If your KYC has been “under review” for more than a week, then you should contact customer support and ask them to speed up the process.

Follow up directly via email with your registered mobile number and date you submitted KYC. Sometimes manual reviews need that extra push to keep going, especially during busy periods.

Is it safe to share my Aadhaar number with Jar during KYC?

Jar is a registered platform that uses Aadhaar-based eKYC through official UIDAI-authorized channels. That said, only ever submit KYC through the official Jar app, never through a link sent by an unknown caller or third-party website.

If you've been going in circles trying to get your issue resolved, the email route with a clear, documented complaint is your strongest move. Attach everything: screenshots, dates, UTR numbers, and state plainly what outcome you're looking for. The Jar team typically responds faster when the request is specific. And if something still feels off about a call or message you received claiming to be from Jar, trust that instinct and verify through the official channels listed above before sharing anything.
